Peugeot HX-1 plug-in hybrid have gullwing doors and unique design. The French company has declared it the first diesel hybrid vehicles in the world.Peugeot company officials say that the aim of this concept to become a comfortable and economical means of transportation for six passengers, which uses a plug-in hybrid technology, while at the same time offering superior sports performance.

Peugeot has demonstrated its creativity. This car runs 2.2-liter HDi engine which uses diesel technology Hybrid4. This technology is a combination of diesel engines which power is transmitted to the front wheels and an electric motor that drives the rear-wheel.

This is a simpler method of using plug-in hybrid, as opposed to hybrid cars like the Toyota Prius and Honda Civic, which use a combination of electric motors and combustion engines. Their power is transmitted simultaneously on the front wheels.

Peugeot HX1 can accommodate six passengers thanks to folding seats that can be placed between the front and rear seats. The combination of electric and diesel engine provides power of 299 hp.
